The trip beyond the booking.

Free WhatsApp travel planning for South Africans. Tell us where, when and who is travelling. We build the plan and the options, then hand you to Lizanne, a named human travel consultant, who books and confirms every detail.

Free. No card. Indicative quotes only, until Lizanne confirms.

How it works

Three steps, one named human at the end.

You talk to one planning assistant on WhatsApp. We qualify the trip, build the options, and hand the agreed package to a real consultant who closes the booking. Nothing is charged until she confirms.

STEP 1

Tell us where, when, and who.

Send the destination, the dates, the travellers, and a sense of pace. The planning assistant asks a few follow-up questions, so the brief that comes back is built for your trip, not a template.

STEP 2

We build the plan and the options.

You receive a short brief in chat, with indicative prices for flights, stay and the trip shape. Adjust anything. When you are happy, reply yes and the package is locked for hand-off.

STEP 3

Lizanne books and confirms.

A named human travel consultant in the Envoyage network takes over. She confirms the live price, makes the booking, takes payment, and stays your contact until you are home.

Plan a trip

Start with where you want to go.

Fill in the form on your phone, then tap the WhatsApp button. Your answers are pre-filled into the message, so the planning conversation starts with the right context and Lizanne has what she needs to quote.

Where to go

Six trips South Africans ask us about most.

Sample shapes to start the conversation. Lizanne confirms the live price and availability before anything is booked. Each card opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled brief.

Table Mountain rising behind the city bowl at golden hour, seen across the water.
South Africa

Cape Town and the Winelands, four nights

Best October to April. Warm and dry.

Two travellers. City base in Tamboerskloof or Gardens, a day on Table Mountain and Cape Point, a Winelands day in Stellenbosch or Franschhoek with a driver so no one watches the wine.

Indicative, all in: R17,000 to R25,000 for two. Live price confirmed by Lizanne.

Plan this on WhatsApp
A line of elephants walking through golden bushveld grass in late afternoon light, acacia trees behind.
South Africa

Kruger, three nights, self-drive or guided

Best May to September. Dry season, game viewing.

A private lodge in the Sabi or Timbavati, morning and evening drives, one rest day at the lodge. Flights from Johannesburg or a self-drive option from Nelspruit with a rental.

Indicative, all in: R32,000 to R58,000 for two. Live price confirmed by Lizanne.

Plan this on WhatsApp
Warm late afternoon sun breaking through forest onto wet rocks and running water in the Garden Route interior.
South Africa

Garden Route drive, six nights

Best January to March for summer weather. June to November for the whales at Hermanus.

One coast, one direction, no doubling back. Start in Cape Town, finish in Gqeberha, with two nights in Knysna to break the middle of the route and a full day off the road. The R44 past Gordon's Bay and Betty's Bay is the scenic run, with the penguin colony at Stony Point on the way.

Indicative, from: R7,400 per person self-drive three-star, R10,600 per person four-star. Live price confirmed by Lizanne.

Plan this on WhatsApp
A curve of pale sand and calm turquoise water backed by a line of casuarina trees on the Mauritian coast.
Indian Ocean

Mauritius, seven nights, beach and one north

Best May to November. Cooler and drier.

A north or west coast resort on half-board, a catamaran day to the south coast, one day for the kids at Casela or a round at one of the resort courses. Direct flights from Johannesburg.

Indicative, all in: R45,000 to R85,000 for two. Live price confirmed by Lizanne.

Plan this on WhatsApp
A wooden dhow with a pale triangular sail on shallow turquoise water off Zanzibar at late afternoon.
Tanzania

Zanzibar slow week, seven nights

Best July to October, dry and cool. February is peak too. March to May is the long rains.

Two nights of town and five of beach, which is the split that makes the island worth the flight. Stone Town first, for the history and the food market at Forodhani Gardens, then the north coast where you stop moving. Direct flights from Johannesburg, one hour ahead of South African time.

Indicative, from: R22,800 per person for four-star bed and breakfast, flights included. Live price confirmed by Lizanne.

Plan this on WhatsApp
The Dubai skyline seen across rolling desert dunes at dusk, towers softened by warm haze.
United Arab Emirates

Dubai short break, four nights

Best November to April. June to September is summer heat we steer away from.

Four nights is the right length for a first Dubai, because the city is a set of separate places rather than one. One hotel for the whole stay, in Downtown or on the Marina side, and a shape that runs old, then tall, then sand, then water, with the hottest afternoons spent indoors.

Indicative, from: R14,200 per person for four-star, four nights, flights and breakfast included. Live price confirmed by Lizanne.

Plan this on WhatsApp
The same valley in the dry season, bare dormant vines and golden grass under a very low hazy sun.
When to go

Best months to travel from South Africa.

A planning calendar for the six destinations Travel & Beyond plans most. Green is peak, yellow is workable with caveats, red is a month when we steer travellers to a different region. Dates are the dry and calm windows for each region and are confirmed by Lizanne against live availability before anything is quoted.

Indicative planning bands. School holidays, the Easter week, the September to October safari peak and the December run up price and availability materially above the published bands. Lizanne flags the difference in the indicative options before you commit, and confirms the live price against the trade's back-office.

Travelling with children? The family guide sets out what changes once the children are on the booking, and which of the six suits which age.

Travelling as a couple? The honeymoon guide reads the same six for two travellers, with the room grade, the season and the top published band for each.

Dates not fixed yet? The month-by-month guide reads this calendar the other way: how many of the six each month suits, and the window each destination actually holds.

Why us

Free to plan, named human to book.

The model is built for a real conversation, not a portal. You get a planning assistant that asks the right questions, then a person who closes the booking. Charges the traveller nothing, and earns a flat fee from the trade on completed bookings only.

One named consultant

Lizanne is a travel consultant in the Envoyage network. She confirms the final price, makes the booking, takes payment, and stays your contact until you are home. The planning assistant never books and never takes payment.

Indicative quotes only

Every price you see in the brief is indicative. Lizanne confirms the live price and availability before anything is charged. Nothing is booked and nothing is paid until she confirms with you in writing.

Free to the traveller

Charges travellers nothing. Travel & Beyond earns a flat referral fee from the trade on completed bookings. The trip you book is the trip you wanted to book, the cost is the cost.

South African, English and Afrikaans

The planning chat runs in English and Afrikaans. Quotes, confirmations and trip documents arrive in the language you used. Travelling from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria is our default starting point.

What Travel & Beyond is, and what it is not

Travel & Beyond is a free planning service for travellers. The planning assistant is AI-assisted and says so. Lizanne is the human who books.

  • Travel & Beyond is not Flight Centre, not Envoyage, not an airline, and not a booking engine.
  • Quotes and options are indicative until Lizanne confirms the live price and availability.
  • The planning assistant never impersonates Lizanne and never takes payment.
  • Travel & Beyond earns a flat referral fee from the trade on completed bookings and charges the traveller nothing.
  • Personal information is held for the planning conversation and is deleted on request, per POPIA. The privacy notice sets out what that means in full.
